O B S E S S I O N S - December
Our new Lennox Safari Shirt in Camel. It can be a tricky colour to wear but I just love the safari vibe. Tucked into a high-waisted pair of denim or white flares, it has this great 70’s vibe…a-la Lauren Hutton
Christmas is fast approaching and I’m in planning mode as we are hosting this year. I am determined to keep things really simple this year. A week or so ago I was so fortunate to attend a Christmas workshop with my girl crush Lucy Tweed, aka Every Night of the Week. (If you haven’t signed up for her newsletter already jump on board quick smart. You won’t regret it) She armed us with an entire Christmas menu, a-lot of which can be prepared in advance and I am planning on copying it dish for dish. I’m most excited about the Chilli Pickled Pineapple for the ham.
For home this month it’s all about the festive season as well. Ever since moving home from living abroad I am really into injecting some "Australiana" into our decorations. I can’t wait to hang up our Elk & Tom Christmas Beetles. And aren’t these Down to the Woods koalas just the bees knees??Ok, ok I’m completely behind the 8 ball here (I mean there are after all 5 seasons you can now binge on) but I am currently devouring episodes of My Dad Wrote A Porno like nobody’s business. It is absolutely hilarious. 30 min or so of complete stupidity, witty humour and some of the most vomit worthy sex scenes you could imagine. I highly recommend (however if you can’t handle rude, crude and base humour then this is not the one for you at all).I’m always looking for short, sharp and straight to the point ways to keep updated, so this month I signed up to my local Mosman Collective Newsletter. I’m loving getting a quick hit in my inbox about what’s going on in my local area in a light-hearted fashion. It’s always good to feel a bit more involved in your community and up-to-date with what’s going on in your hood. If your around the Mosman hood you should sign up too.

C R E W - Take a moment with photographer, Julie Adams
Every now and then someone comes along and straight away you know they’re a “keeper”. Julie (Jools) Adam’s is one of those. I first met Jools as expats together in New York over a decade ago and have been firm friends since.
You are probably already familiar with her extensive portfolio for The Grace Tales. Her work is often seen on the pages of Vogue, Marie Claire, The Australian and Women's Weekly. Rarely seen without her camera, Jools is constantly clicking away, capturing precious moments and beautifully simple scenes of day-to-day life and portraits.
Not one to sit back and idle, Jools can now add author to her many talents, with the release of Grace Mothers – Letters to our Children earlier this year. Her second title, due out early 2020, This is Me, is a collection of #unretouched portraits celebrating the female body, individuality and self-love. If you’re not familiar with this inspiring project we highly encourage you to follow @thisismeseries on Instagram.
My personal aesthetic is…Hmm that’s tricky … I just like to wear what I feel suits me … I guess classic with a twist ..
Right now, I’m constantly wearing… My Akubra … I’m a total wannabe country girl
The most essential item in my wardrobe is… Absolutely my white I&P franklin shirt it’s my go-to from work to the beach ...
The smell that transports me to a different time and place…Rosemary … always takes me straight back to Italy
My teenage crush was…Very tempted to fib here (but know my ‘teenage' friends won’t let me get away with it!) …. OK …. it was Michael Jackson - but very very early teens … maybe tweens :) … but it was serious! :)
This song is the soundtrack to my life…Impossible question … I mean I swing from Michael Jackson … to Pavarotti … to Nina Simone … to ACDC - am I in the car?… making dinner?… dancing in the living room?… I’ll have to pass!!!
My guilty pleasure is…Wine without question ..
Tonight, for dinner, I’m going to have… Risotto Primavera… it's Sunday eve … time up my sleeve :)
Right now I’m reading…Excitingly proof reading my book “This is Me’ coming out next March …
My invite list – living or dead – to the ultimate dinner party, would be …My ultimate dinner party will always be with my family and friends ….but the setting would be king here:) … a long table outdoors (in Italy) over looking the vineyards followed by dancing in the piazza …gorgeous sunset … lots of colour … ...and I would feed them all…We’d start with a Spritz … before settling into a full Italian feast …
My fave way to wear my Franklin shirt… thrown on with my jeans, untucked and relaxed or tucked in to a fabulous skirt …. And if I can’t find them … my daughter has pinched them … particularly loves them for the beach!

My personal aesthetic is...Feminine chic
Right now, I’m constantly wearing...My I&P shirts of course!!! However, I adore dresses – especially ones that transition from day to night, with some simple shoe and accessory changes.
The most essential item in my wardrobe is...Can I pick three please? 😄White shirt – classic, effortless and so versatile.A day-to-night midi-dress with sleeves (I’m a cold frog). My Golden Goose sneakers – which I literally wear with everything - including an evening outfit.
The smell that transports me to a different time and place...Horse manure – not necessarily the nicest smell, however, it reminds me of my childhood and riding my beloved horse.
My teenage crush was...Daniel Day Lewis
This song is the soundtrack to my life...(I’ve Had) The Time of my Life – soundtrack from Dirty Dancing. This is TOTALLY cliché – ….however, Dirty Dancing was my favourite movie growing up, and I must say I feel I try and live life to the fullest and have the “time of my life”.
My guilty pleasure is...Chocolate Mousse or my mother’s Persian Love Cake
Tonight, for dinner, I’m going to have...Green chicken Curry
Right now I’m reading...A lot of fashion commentary – hmmmm. And The Goldfinch – but I don’t love it.
My invite list – living or dead – to the ultimate dinner party, would be ..My Family – I adore both sides.American friends – we resided in the States for almost 10 years & I miss my friends dearly. I’d of course have a bunch of Australian friends too!!Cate Blanchett – such an accomplished actor, however, I also adore how she experiments with her fashion choices, whilst always looking elegant and dare I say, age-appropriate.Ellen – Her humour & zest for life would be such a fun contribution to a dinner party. Gwyneth Paltrow – I have always loved her style, however, I think she’s a fabulous role model who seems to do it all so effortlessly – Mother, Wife & CEO of her own company.Princess Diana – I admired her grace, vulnerability and style.Michael Palin – I love traveling and would love to discuss the places he’s visited....and I would feed them all...I’m not a good cook, so I would definitely outsource the catering to an expert……or my mother (who is a wonderful cook).
My fave way to wear my Franklin shirt...Tied in a knot with shorts or a skirt.
