Take one look at Danielle’s Instagram and you’ll see why we love her so. Blues, stripes, wicker, stone and wood – she’s a girl after our own heart and we love how she pulls together a room. There is a restraint to her interior design we really love. You can check out her website here.
My personal aesthetic is...Classic with a hint of sexy. I'm not into fads or trends, so I basically have been wearing the same type of outfit since I was 18.
Right now, I’m constantly wearing...my Nobody denim jeans and favourite striped blue I&P shirt!
The most essential item in my wardrobe is...A clean, fresh white T
The smell that transports me to a different time and place...The smell of frangipanis. Takes me on holidays.
My teenage crush was...Richard Grieco....gosh, will anyone even know who that is!!?? ha.
This song is the soundtrack to my life...Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship. Hopeless romantic. My favourite song of all time too.
My guilty pleasure is...A ham and cheese toasty. Obsessed. Oh and brownies.
Tonight, for dinner, I’m going to have...Slow cooked lamb shoulder with garden herbs. It's raining and kids have requested!
Right now I’m reading...My IVY design software training. Boring!! But honestly, I'm not a reader. 1 page and I fall asleep.
My invite list – living or dead – to the ultimate dinner party, would be ...All my family- that's here and passed. Nothing more important to me. ...and I would decorate the table with...A linen table cloth, candles and fresh flowers
My fave way to wear my Franklin shirt...Always tucked.

Our new Lennox Safari Shirt in Camel. It can be a tricky colour to wear but I just love the safari vibe. Tucked into a high-waisted pair of denim or white flares, it has this great 70’s vibe…a-la Lauren Hutton
Christmas is fast approaching and I’m in planning mode as we are hosting this year. I am determined to keep things really simple this year. A week or so ago I was so fortunate to attend a Christmas workshop with my girl crush Lucy Tweed, aka Every Night of the Week. (If you haven’t signed up for her newsletter already jump on board quick smart. You won’t regret it) She armed us with an entire Christmas menu, a-lot of which can be prepared in advance and I am planning on copying it dish for dish. I’m most excited about the Chilli Pickled Pineapple for the ham.
For home this month it’s all about the festive season as well. Ever since moving home from living abroad I am really into injecting some "Australiana" into our decorations. I can’t wait to hang up our Elk & Tom Christmas Beetles. And aren’t these Down to the Woods koalas just the bees knees??Ok, ok I’m completely behind the 8 ball here (I mean there are after all 5 seasons you can now binge on) but I am currently devouring episodes of My Dad Wrote A Porno like nobody’s business. It is absolutely hilarious. 30 min or so of complete stupidity, witty humour and some of the most vomit worthy sex scenes you could imagine. I highly recommend (however if you can’t handle rude, crude and base humour then this is not the one for you at all).I’m always looking for short, sharp and straight to the point ways to keep updated, so this month I signed up to my local Mosman Collective Newsletter. I’m loving getting a quick hit in my inbox about what’s going on in my local area in a light-hearted fashion. It’s always good to feel a bit more involved in your community and up-to-date with what’s going on in your hood. If your around the Mosman hood you should sign up too.
At Irving & Powell we love a stylist who knows all about making the most of life. And we think Mr. Jason Grant is the epitome of the relaxed Australian lifestyle that we all love to embrace.
In our eyes he is the master of the muted colour tone. He gets that things don’t have to be screaming to stand out. His edits are always liveable and refined with a great sense of fun. At the very heart of his projects you can always see he has approached it with the laid back style that is quintessentially Australian.
There is often a hint or a nautical element that we can relate to.
His collaboration with Murabond produced the kind of paint colours that makes you want to pull out your next DIY project. We think he loves blue as much as we do.
Its Jason’s personal style as much as his interiors that resonate with the Irving & Powell brand. He is always dressed in the perfect chino and T-shirt and we really cant go past the Margiela sneakers (seriously great).
Jason has recently opened an online store to showcase his favorite homewares. It’s a great edit and I’m sure you’ll find something that would sit perfectly at your place. We particularly like the retro mesh table seen here at our favourite holiday destination The Atlantic Byron Bay.
Keep up with Jason @mr_jason_grant trust us, you’ll be inspired.
